I Lost Another Friend Today

One of my kitties lost her battle with illness today. Charlotte is one of a litter of four cats I rescued from the SPCA eight years ago. Someone had left them and a fifth that didn’t make it on the doorstep of the shelter and I came by to drop off a humane trap I had rented from them. They were going to be put to sleep because they were too young to be kept there. I took the whole box home.
Two of the other three still live here with me (Wilbur and Orville) and Charlotte’s sister, Emily, lives with my ex, Rebecca, who had the sad task of taking Charlotte in today. She had been sick for about a year and everything that could’ve been done for her was. “Cowina” (her nickname because of her big gray spots that gave her a Holstein-like quality) was one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever had. Her distinctive meow and sweet demeanor will most definitely be missed by all of us.
RIP Charlotte.

She was an angel to the very end. Thank you Jeff for such a lovely tribute to our little cow-cow.
Sorry for your loss Jeff. She was a beautiful cat.
