How appropriate. I screen capped these two areas of the Chron.com front page. Not only did the Rockets bow out in game 7 to the Utah Jazz, but the “Rocket” Roger Clements has decided to return and pitch for another year…with the Yankees.
To cap it off, it appears the Rockets offseason will get underway immediately with the departure of Jeff Van Gundy as coach after 4 years.
What a weekend.
Oh, and the Astros lost to the Cards today 3-1.
If only we could get the Texans to trade Andre Johnson and next year’s first round pick for a future 4th round pick and cash, it would give us a clean sweep of crap. Can Brian Ching hurt an ankle? Can Lance Berkman demand a trade? Maybe we could get Hakeem Olajuwon to ask to have his number un-retired by the Rockets so he could enter the Hall of Fame as a Toronto Raptor.
May as well cram the knife in a little further.
